This saves the average customer about $0.30 savings a month on the monthly rates of $18.60. The two-year frozen rate also lowers the base rate in future calculations, until the end of the contract term on June 30, 2027. The City does not control the rate for disposal at the landfills, which may be increased by the County of Orange annually. Rates are calculated to include both the cost of hauling and the cost of disposal at the landfill.
