The Fullerton Police Explorer Post began in 1975, and since then, there have been many Explorers who have gone on to careers in law enforcement. The Post introduces young people to police work, and the various aspects of law enforcement, with an emphasis on community service.

The Explorers are required to attend an Explorer Academy during their first year in the Post. The Academy is sponsored by the Orange County Law Enforcement Advisor's Association.
The live in style academy is held over a five day period at a designated location. The Academy is similar to a military "boot" camp and may be based at a local military base. The Explorers receive training from Police Officers in all phases of police work. Upon graduation, the Explorer will receive a certificate of completion.
If you have a general interest in law enforcement, or are considering a possible career, you are welcome to contact a post advisor, or attend a weekly meeting to gain further information on the Fullerton Police Explorers.
