Jennifer Fitzgerald was elected to the Fullerton City Council in November 2012. During her first eighteen months in office she established herself as a strong community leader. Forging the compromise that returned over $3.5 million in water service overcharges to Fullerton ratepayers, Fitzgerald proved herself to be a pragmatic and fiscally conservative council leader. Fitzgerald’s other first-year accomplishments include bringing stability to the Fullerton Police Department with the appointment of a long-awaited, permanent police chief and significantly increasing the city’s investment in improved water delivery and road repair.
Fitzgerald is the founder and CEO of CL7 Communications, Inc., a strategic communications firm, which specializes in political fundraising, association management and government affairs. Over the past ten years in business, she and her team have raised over $10 million for the political campaigns of Presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gubinatorial candidate Meg Whitman, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint, Congressman John Campbell, Congressman Ed Royce and The California Women’s Leadership Association (CWLA), among others.
Fitzgerald has been an active community leader in Fullerton for the past decade. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Orange County Taxpayers Association. She is a Past President of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and past Member of the Board of Directors for the Fullerton Historic Theater Foundation. She served previously on the Fullerton Planning Commission and the Fullerton General Plan Advisory Committee.
Jennifer’s volunteer service includes work in the education and non-profit sectors. She is the founder of Give Back (Packs) Fullerton, a member of the Fullerton Arboretum, the Fullerton Elks Lodge, The Muckenthaler Cultural Center, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Fullerton Women’s Club. Additionally, she serves as an Advisory Board Member of the the Coast to Coast Foundation and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Fullerton Community Nursery School, Orange County’s oldest cooperative preschool.
Jennifer and her husband, Sean, have called Fullerton home for close to fifteen years and are raising their two sons there. Jennifer graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from Biola University in 1995 where she also earned a Minor in Biblical Studies.City of Fullerton
