Redevelopment Updates

The Department of Redevelopment and Economic Development plans, organizes, and directs:

  • redevelopment,
  • affordable housing,
  • and economic development programs, projects and activities.

These efforts are focused on supporting and enhancing the overall economic well-being of the community and complying with redevelopment law. Emphasis is placed on maintaining and improving the City's tax base.

  • Relocation
    • The Economic Development Action Team is ready to assist your expansion or relocation through all City processes. When do you want to be in business? We'll make it happen.
    • Information on relocation sites - from industrial condos, to office, to retail, to industrial space up to 500,000 s.f.
  • Project Areas
    • The Fullerton Redevelopment Agency focuses on four project areas. If your business is located in one of these areas, particularly in the Downtown, Agency staff may be able to assist you in:

    • Access and coordination are provided to other agencies for the:

    • A full range of single and multi-family homes, with City-sponsored Rental Affordable Housing programs for residents and employees of Fullerton businesses.

    • Award-winning public and private schools are augmented with the presence of five colleges and universities, resulting in Fullerton being known as "The Education Community."
    • The community is traditionally supportive of a variety of theater, art, musical and other fine arts endeavors.
    • A safe environment for your business. Fullerton was rated the 29th safest city in the country with over 100,000 in population. (Year 2000)
  • Fullerton Airport meets the needs of both recreation and business as the only general aviation airport in Orange County.
