The City of Fullerton is currently designing the rehabilitation of the Bastanchury storm drain channel near the intersection of Parks Road and Bastanchury Road in order to prevent further erosion of the existing eastern bank, which may undermine the existing sidewalk and road base if left in its present condition.
The improvement area is located within 300 feet of the channel from the outlet structure below Parks Road to the existing debris dam.
Pursuant to the City's guidelines to implement the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), an environmental checklist was prepared as part of an Initial Study (IS) for this project. The results of the IS indicated that a Mitigated Negative Declaration should be prepared for this project. The documents are posted below.
