1) The accelerated plan check turn-around goal has been changed from 3 days to one week from submittal to adjust to reduced administrative and front counter staffing.
2) Normal, non-accelerated plan check turn-around goal has been changed from 10 business days to 12 business days (due to reduced plan check staff).
3) The Community Development Department counter will close at 5:00 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and at 4:30 p.m. on open Fridays to allow our Building Permit Technicians to complete their tasks without overtime, due to reduced front counter staff.
4) Incoming phone calls may go directly to voicemail at hours of peak demand to adjust to reduced front counter and administrative staffing. Customers are encouraged to leave a message and Community Development staff will return your call in a timely manner.
5) If you are calling to confirm your scheduled inspection, please leave a message with your assigned inspector prior to 8:00 a.m. Your call will be returned prior to the inspector’s departure to the field.
6) If you have received a notice of violation (NOV) from the Code Enforcement division, please visit the Community Development Department during the time noted on your letter OR call the phone number in the letter to make an appointment to minimize your wait time, due to reduced staffing.
7) If you have a project under review by a member of the Planning team, please make an appointment with your assigned planner to minimize your wait time. Appointments are required for submission of entitlement requests due to reduced planning staffing.
