Alarm Permits
The city requires that all alarm users possess a city permit to operate alarms. Alarm permit applications are processed through Administrative Services Department and they are responsible for all matters involving permits, alarm service providers, and billing.

In order to provide you with the best possible service and protection, the Administrative Services Department has established the following guidelines for robbery and burglary alarm permit applications:

Complete the Alarm Application Form provided. You are able to mail, fax or e-mail the permit application. Please refer to the application for destination information. To print the Alarm Permit Application, click here

Alarm Permit Applications can also be found on the Third Floor in Administrative Services at Fullerton City Hall.

Payment can be made via check or credit card for submitted applications, along with cash for those processed at Fullerton City Hall. If paying by check or money order please prepare the items payable to "City of Fullerton" for the proper amount according to the following permit fee schedule:

Annual Permit Renewal Fee (permits expire on the anniversary date of their issuance)

It is in your best interest to make sure your alarm system is in proper working order. False alarms are a substantial drain on police services and are subject to fines according to the following schedule:

1st - 2nd False Alarms
3rd False Alarm
4th False Alarm
5th - Every One Thereafter

*First two false alarms are not billed if a current permit is on file, otherwise the first two false alarms are billed at $50.00 each. The "Notice of False Alarm" left by the officer who responds to a false alarm is considered your notification of police response.

If the emergency information changes during the course of the year, contact the Alarm Coordinator and have your records updated.

These guidelines will assist you in the proper installation of your alarm.
