Fullerton, CA - The City of Fullerton, along with the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce, the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) and other regional partners are hosting a workshop entitled, "How Businesses Can Apply for the New California Competes Tax Credit," on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Gordon Hoyt Conference Room at 201 S. Anaheim Blvd. in Anaheim. The workshop and the program are both free and available to businesses of all sizes.

Small, medium and large business owners are encouraged to attend the workshop and receive instruction on how to apply for this new tax credit program available from the State.

The State has created this new business incentive program to help enable cities like Fullerton to better retain and attract businesses. The new tax incentive program will help the City of Fullerton to compete with other states that are known to aggressively recruit California based businesses with incentive programs. The State’s new incentive program is designed to reward businesses for investing in California. The State’s new incentive program does not require financial assistance from participating cities.

The California Competes Program provides upwards of $180 million in tax credits over the next two years for businesses of all sizes that want to expand or relocate to California. Additional details regarding the California Competes Tax Credit can be found at http://www.business.ca.gov/Programs/CaliforniaCompetes.aspx or at (916) 322-0694.
