|Fullerton, Ca – Parents looking for new adventures to share with their young children are invited to join "The Stroller Brigade" beginning May 1 to July 10, 2013 at the Fullerton Museum Center.|
The Museum Center welcomes parents – and grandparents who baby-sit – to visit the museum Wednesdays morning to view the newest exhibit, “Legends and Legacies: The First 100 Years of Fullerton College,” and take part in special activities specifically designed for the “stroller crowd.”
Admission will be free of charge through July 10 to persons who participate in the program.
“Stroller Brigade” hours at the museum will be from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesdays.
Celebrating Fullerton College's Centennial, this exhibit explores the historical, social, and cultural growth of the college and its relationship with Orange County through personal histories and collections. It also observes the growing role of technology in contemporary education and asks what kind of college it should become. Visitors are encouraged to contribute to this ongoing conversation.
No reservations are needed to participate in the Stroller Brigade, but large groups (more than 15) are asked to notify the Museum Education Office at (714) 738-3136 prior to coming to the museum.
The Fullerton Museum Center is located at 301 N. Pomona Ave., east of Harbor Blvd., in downtown Fullerton. Hours are noon-4 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday-Sunday, and noon – 8 p.m. Thursday.
Further information about “Stroller Brigade” may be obtained by calling the Fullerton Museum Center at (714) 738-6545.
Persons requiring special accommodations to view the exhibit are asked to notify the museum staff prior to coming to the Fullerton Museum Center.
